To the Editor:

The Stage Company of Poplar Bluff is proud to present "The Christmas Story" this year at the Rodger's Theatre for our Christmas play. The play is directed by David Carroll and assistant director, Tosha Cooksey.

We are decorating not only the stage area, but also the lobby of the historic Rodger's Theatre, which is located at 204 N. Broadway in downtown Poplar Bluff, Mo.

For the last two years we have added the theme of Christmas to the lobby for your enjoyment and to make you feel a part of our shows. When you walk through the doors of the Rodger's Theatre to see The Christmas Story, we want you to not only see the show, but want you to feel Christmas all around.

All of the shows that are performed are special to us, but when we present a Christmas play we come together not as a community but as a family.

We are taking donations of any Christmas decoration (new or used) that you or your business would care to donate. The items would be greatly appreciated and enjoyed by the community.

If you would like to be part of our community theatre family, please go to our web site at www.stageco.org to see our scheduled showings of our future productions. You can also keep updated on our upcoming auditions and decorating dates for the theatre.

We want to thank Poplar Bluff and Southeast MO for your past and future support by letting us be a part of your holiday celebration and traditions now and for years to come.

Won't you please help us make the Rodger's Theatre and the Stage Company a winter wonderland and a "Christmas Story" to remember.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

La Donna Casey
