Annual Community Outreach Day provides food, information and more

The annual Community Outreach Event held Sept. 29 featured dozens of businesses and charities, connecting Poplar Bluff community members with resources. Organizers noted the unseasonable heat may have reduced attendance compared to previous years.

The SEMO Food Bank, assisted by volunteers from Mingo Job Corps and the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, passed out bags of food and fruit juice to hundreds of people during the Community Outreach Event on Friday.
