City meetings

Board of Adjustments

The Poplar Bluff Board of Adjustment will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the city council chambers, 301 S. Fifth St. Items on the agenda include a request for a variance from RS-2 general residential district requirements to allow a daycare center at 2525 N. 14th St. Applicant is Tiffanie Nicolini, of 389 Katy Lane.

P&Z

The Poplar Bluff Planning & Zoning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Aug. 8 at the city council chambers.

Items on the workshop and voting agenda include a request from Zion Lutheran Church of 450 N. Main St., to rezone 3 acres located south of Oak Grove Road and east of Shelby Road from RS-2 general residential to C-2 general commercial for future commercial development.

Other items on the voting agenda include a request from New Covenant Fellowship Community Ministries of 3396 Kanell Blvd. to annex in .88 acres of property located south of Kanell Boulevard and west of the church.

Building standards

The Poplar Bluff Building Standards Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the city council chambers.
