KENNETT — Kennett and Dunklin County law enforcement officials are looking for a Kennett man presumed to be on the run after he was charged in the death of another man Thursday.

Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney Nicholas Jain announced that Jimmy L. Gooden Jr., 51, was charged with the class A felony of murder in the second degree, the unclassified felony of armed criminal action and the class D felony of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.

The charges stem from an incident where Kennett law enforcement officers were dispatched to the 200 block of King Street in reference to a subject being run over by a vehicle. Witnesses on scene provided that Jimmy Gooden intentionally ran over Forest Kincade after an argument.

The investigation is being conducted by the Kennett Police Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office, and officials caution the public not to approach Gooden, but to contact law enforcement if you are aware of his whereabouts.
