At the heart of our region, good people are doing good things

Saturday, April 24, 2021

April 24 is a big day for our region.

We’re guessing you may not have realized that. We hadn’t either until recently, but it is.

Today in Naylor, a family struck by tragedy is raising funds for the Reese Ainley Foundation. In memory of the daughter they lost, Ryan and Kristina Ainley want to improve their community. The event they are hosting is also meant to bring joy to children, offering a petting zoo, carnival games and more.

The Three Rivers Shrine Club is hosting another event today with children in mind. They’re additionally offering parents the opportunity to participate in the Missouri Child Identification Program. The day is an extension of the work the club does year-round for the community.

And today is the 33rd annual Law & Order night at Elks Lodge Post 2452. The event honors members of law enforcement from several area counties.

The importance of volunteer efforts like these can’t be said often enough, so we want to say thank you again to everyone who works so hard to make our communities better.

These events are just a small sampling of what happens in this area year-round.

But it’s worth mentioning often.

Too frequently we only remember the bad news, whether it’s something happening in our own backyards, in neighboring communities or around the nation.

At the heart of our region, good people are doing good things.

Thank you
