Looking for the best moments in 2020 is important

Saturday, December 19, 2020

Over the next few editions, the Daily American Republic is going to feature a new series called “Moments to Cherish.”

These articles offer a look back at 2020, and not at the hardships we’ve faced, the challenges we’re still trying to overcome or the losses that have impacted us all in one way or another.

These articles look at the moments that shined in 2020.

They are stories of new birth, achievement, love that has surpassed decades and a soldier lost more than half a century ago whose belongings will go home to his family for Christmas, bringing a sense of closure for his loved ones.

We look forward to sharing these stories with you and would love to hear what moments you will cherish from this year that has taken so much out of us all.

Did you start something new that you’ve always wanted to do? Accomplish something that’s always been on your wish list? Welcome a new family member or loved one?

There is never enough time to spend with the important people in our lives or to enjoy the big and little things that bring us joy.

So, while 2020 has been rough, we won’t wish the year away.

For all of the moments that make up the last 350 or so days, we’re looking for the ones that shined the brightest to carry us into 2021.

We hope you’ll join us.
