Five Poplar Bluff firefighters did a 110-story stair climb in remembrance of the 9/11 terrorist attacks during an event Saturday at Planet Fitness.
The climb is for the 343 plus firefighters who died on 9/11 or have since died from having worked at Ground Zero.
Saturday’s event raised money for Supporting Heroes, which provides support to the families of public safety personnel — firefighters, law enforcement and emergency-medical-services who died in the line of duty.
