Tommy Tompkins

Tommy Tompkins, 75, of Williamsville, Missouri, died Monday, March 27, 2023 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Tompkins was born Aug. 29, 1947 in Piggott, Arkansas, son of the late Sylvester and Clella Tompkins.

He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad in the late nineties. Tommy was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. On Sept. 7, 1991, he married Suellen Adams Tompkins. She preceded him in death on Sept. 28, 2018.

He is survived by three children: Tracey (Marsha) Tompkins of Puxico, Missouri, and Shannon (Rebekah) Tompkins of Williamsville, Missouri, and Joy (Bryan) Ferguson of Patterson, Missouri; one foster son: Harry Prouty of the home; one stepson: Heath (Anne) Tompkins of Paragould, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and three siblings: Bob Tompkins of Williamsville, Sandy Huggins of Qulin, Missouri, and Robin Pearson of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. In addition to his parents and wife he was also preceded in death by one daughter: Kelly Tompkins.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at the Qulin Cemetery. Condolences: www.whitesandersfuneralhome.com.
