BUTLER COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

A resident of the 300 block of Highway T reported at noon Saturday, Dec. 25, that a license plate had been stolen from his/her vehicle.

A dark green 1998 GMC 1500 pickup was reported stolen at 6:52 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 25, from the American Legion in Qulin.

_

An employee of TJ’s Corner Store off Highway CC at Broseley reported at 10:54 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 25, that the store had been broken into and property had been damaged.

_

Carla Wade of the 4000 block of County Road 276 reported at 1:56 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, that her 2014 Nissan Altima had been stolen from her home.

_

A resident of the 1500 block of County Road 271 reported at 8:37 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, that a burglary had taken place at their residence the previous night and items like a propane heater and hand tools had been taken.

Megan O. R. Cates, 36, of Oxly was booked Sunday, Jan. 2, at the Butler County jail on a warrant for stealing a motor vehicle/watercraft/aircraft.

Tiffany A. Fuchs, 33, of the 1300 block of Whispering Pine Drive was booked Sunday, Jan. 2, at the Butler County jail to serve 24 hours shock time.

Danny W. Raymer, 34, of Cape Canaveral, Florida, was booked Friday, Dec. 31, at the Butler County jail on a failure to appear warrant for tampering with a motor vehicle and a failure to appear warrant for leaving the scene of an accident.

Wesley A. Risner, 33, of Williamsville was booked Sunday, Jan. 2, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of fourth-degree domestic assault.

Wayne L. Schuler, 40, of the 2000 block of Greenwood was booked Monday, Jan. 3, at the Butler County jail on a probation violation warrant.

Kristen R. Todahl, 24, of the 700 block of Cynthia was booked Friday, Dec. 31, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of first-degree burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful use of a weapon.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 3:08 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at Dunham’s Sports, 763 N. Westwood Blvd. It was investigation only.

Firefighters were dispatched at 1:28 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, to a motor vehicle accident at Second and Harper streets. There were no injuries.

_

Firefighters were dispatched at 5:48 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, to a motor vehicle crash on Oak Grove Road, where they cleaned off the roadway.

_

Firefighters responded at 5:32 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, to a reported vehicle fire in the alley between North 12th and North 13th streets. They used 300 gallons of water to put the fire out.

_

Firefighters were dispatched at 1:49 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, to 550 Highway 53, where a vehicle had crashed and went into a ditch. There were no injuries.

Firefighters were called at 9:58 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, to the home of Dennis Woods, 724 Vine St., for a reported gas odor. Firefighters could find nothing with a gas meter and cleared the scene once Spire Gas officials showed up.

_

Firefighters were dispatched at 4:23 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, to 1235 N. Main St. It was determined to be an unintentional alarm.

Firefighters responded at 12:07 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, to a reported structure fire at 405 N. Second St. It was found to be someone burning wires behind the residence and firefighters used 10 gallons of water to put the fire out.

Firefighters responded to a call of a tree and grass fire at 11:33 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, behind Whiteley Park off Cheshire Boulevard. It was investigation only.

Firefighters responded at 7:56 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, to a vehicle accident at 509 E. Pine St. They assisted EMS with loading patients and cleared the roadway of debris.

Firefighters responded at 12:58 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, to an alarm at FCC Behavioral Health, 2995 Warrior Lane. It was investigation only.

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 11:52 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Northwest Medical Center, 2210 Barron Road. It was investigation only.

Firefighters responded to a reported mattress fire at 12:36 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at the intersection of Garfield and Valley streets. They used 10 gallons of water to put the fire out.

Firefighters responded at 10:13 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, to a reported fire behind 630 Vine St. They told the occupant about the city’s burn ordinance and used three gallons of water to put the fire out.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Linda K. Maine, 35, who listed Poplar Bluff and Fairdealing addresses, was arrested at 3:54 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, on a warrant for a traffic offense. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Javone A. Gibbs-Wright, 18, was arrested at 11:28 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, on suspicion of careless & imprudent driving, failure to stop at a stop sign, operating a vehicle without a license, endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Steven L. Midkiff, 44, of the 1800 block of Indiana was arrested at 3:43 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at the Walmart Supercenter on a warrant for unlawful use of a weapon. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

BUTER COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT

County firefighters responded at 11:28 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, to a reported structure fire on Highway B. It was smoke coming from a wood stove.

County firefighters responded at 2:48 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Cravens Road and Highway 142. Upon arrival, all occupants were out of their vehicles.

County firefighters responded to an alarm at 4:35 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at 5725 Highway 142. It was investigation only.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

Tracy R. Isby, 47, of Justice, Illinois was arrested at 9:45 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, in Stoddard County on suspicion of DWI, driving while revoked and speeding. He was released.

Rosevelt Jackson, 58, of Blytheville, Arkansas was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, in Dunklin County on suspicion of felony DWI (chronic offender) and felony driving while suspended. He was released.

Monica R. Wasbutsky, 46, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:34 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, in Stoddard County on suspicion of DWI (alcohol) and careless & imprudent driving. She was released.
