1 new COVID19 related death locally announced

One new COVID19 related death and five active cases were announced Wednesday in the Butler County Health Center’s weekly update.

According to information provided by the center, the county’s total now stands at 4,579 cases.

The Butler County Health Department release said, the staff “is sad to report the death.” The release also stated, “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased. This brings our total COVID related deaths to 58.”

The health department is offering free Coronavirus testing weekly for Missouri residents. Scheduled Rapid Testing will be done every Wednesday by appointment only in Butler County. The local health department is working with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) on distributing the COVID19 vaccinate to the area.
