City Council

The Poplar Bluff City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, in the council chambers, 301 S. Fifth St.

Workshop Items include:

• A request for reinstatement of a taxicab business license.

• Review the updated Poplar Bluff ADA Section 504 self-evaluation plan.

• Consider a request to submit a grant application for the Wolf Creek TAP project..

Action required items:

• The council will take action on an ordinance approving the Poplar Bluff ADA Section 504 self-evaluation plan.

• The council will take action on a resolution authorizing the city to submit a grant application for the Wolf Creek TAP project.

• The City Council of the City of Poplar Bluff will meet in a closed meeting in which they will discuss such matters which are exempted under the open meetings law Section 610.021.1,RSMo, Section 610.021.2, RSMo, Section 610.021.3, RSMo, Section 610.021.9, RSMo, Section 610.021.11, RSMo, Section 610.021.12, RSMo, Section 610.021.13, RSMo and Section 610.021.14, RSMo.

Municipal Utilities Advisory Board

Municipal Utilities Advisory Board will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, at 1903 Sunset Drive.

The group will review:

• Check register reports for electric, water-sewer and cable departments

• Financial statements and investments for electric and water-sewer departments.

The board will review the 2021 Southeastern Power Resource Association dues.

Tree Advisory Board

The Tree Advisory Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 19. has been cancelled. The next meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16.

Animal Control Board

The Animal Control Board meeting Tuesday, Jan. 19. has been cancelled. The next meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16.

Poplar Bluff Plumbing Board

The Poplar Bluff Plumbing Board will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, in the City Council Chambers, 301 S. Fifth St.

New business is a request from Ben Norwood to take the Journeyman’s test.

Unfinished business is to approve sewer materials.

Board of Adjustment

The Board of Adjustment regularly-scheduled meeting Thursday, Jan. 21, has been cancelled. The next meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18.
