EFSP funds available, deadline Jan. 18

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has announced the availability of funds for Butler County organizations serving the homeless and hungry in the area through Phase 38 of the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program. Federal funds totaling $13,724 are available for distribution in Butler County.

To be considered, a charitable organization must have a history of providing services on a non-discriminatory basis, be governed by a volunteer board of directors and must meet accounting guidelines set by the local board. Funds may not be used to start a new program.

Applications must be made in writing to the Local Board of Butler County EFSP, PO Box 4875, Poplar Bluff, MO 63902 and postmarked by Jan. 18, 2021 or hand delivered to 921 W. Harper, Poplar Bluff by Jan. 18, 2021.
