Poplar Bluff City Council winners, use tax results announced

The results of two at-large Poplar Bluff City Council races were announced Tuesday evening by Butler County Clerk Tonyi Deffendall.

The winners are: incumbent Steve Davis and newcomer Chris Taylor.

A city use tax proposition failed 654 against with a 598 vote.

Incumbent Ron Black chose not to run for another term.

Ward 5 representative Robert Smith ran unopposed for another term.
