FREE ACCESS — Police: Hamblin considered armed and dangerous

The Poplar Bluff Police Department is looking for Jaquise Hamblin of Poplar Bluff in reference to a shots fired incident. He is considered armed and dangerous.

According to Detective Corey Mitchell, Hamblin got into an altercation with a family member at about 4:45 p.m. Sunday, during which he pulled out a firearm and fired two shots at Euclid Avenue and Second Street.

Mitchell said nobody was injured from the shots. One struck a nearby vehicle.

Hamblin then fled in a stolen Cadillac, Mitchell said. While he was processing the scene, other officers located Hamblin in the Cadillac which led to a pursuit in the east side heading into Poplar Bluff.

During the pursuit, Mitchell said, Hamblin was driving over 100 mph in a residential area. He got out in the 500 block of Dalton Street and fled on foot before officers could catch up with him.

Hamblin is described as 160 lbs., 5'9" with shoulder length dreadlocks.
