Circuit Court Criminal Division Felonies

The following cases were recently acted upon in Circuit Court, Criminal Division:

Nicholas J. Beros, no address listed, was sentenced Dec. 11 after earlier admitted to violating his probation on two Class D felonies of second-degree burglary.

The court revoked his probations and ordered the execution of his two previously suspended seven-year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

The ordered Beros’ sentences to be served consecutively.


Damarius Damontae Jones of Cape Girardeau, Mo. pleaded guilty Dec. 11 to the Class D felony of possession of a controlled substance.

The court suspended the imposition of his sentence and placed him on five years’ supervised probation.

The court ordered he pay $46 to the Crime Victims’ Fund (CVF) and $300 to the Butler County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund.


Ethan Thomas Miller of the 1500 block of North Grand Avenue pleaded guilty Dec. 11 to the Class D felonies of second-degree burglary and first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle.

The court suspended the imposition of his sentences and placed him on five years’ supervised probation in each of his cases.

Miller was ordered to remain on electronic monitoring for six months, complete 100 hours of community service, acquire his GED or complete high school and pay $46 to the CVF and $300 to the Butler County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund in each of his cases.


Vincent Scrimsher of Doniphan pleaded guilty Dec. 11 to the Class D felony of stealing.

The court suspended the imposition of his sentence and placed him on five years’ supervised probation. The court ordered he pay $6 to the CVF and $300 to the Butler County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund.


Preston Shepherd of the 1500 block of Alice Street pleaded guilty Dec. 11 to the Class D felony of second-degree burglary.

The court sentenced him to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, with suspended execution of his sentence, and placed him on five years’ supervised probation.

The court ordered he pay $46 to the CVF and $300 to the Butler County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund.


Brandon W. Austin of Fisk pleaded guilty Dec. 11 to the Class A misdemeanor of stealing.

The court sentenced him to one year in the Butler County jail, with suspended execution of his sentence, and placed him on two years’ supervised probation through the Citizens’ Advisory Board.

The court ordered he pay $10 to the CVF and $300 to the Butler County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund.


Laura Ann Kingery of the 1100 block of County Road 420 admitted violating her probation Dec. 11 on the Class C felony of possession of a controlled substance.

The court revoked her probation and sentenced her to five years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. The court recommended she be placed in a 120-day shock incarceration program, with a bed date of Dec. 31.


James C. Lawrence of Williamsville admitted violating his probation Dec. 11 on the Class C felony of second-degree burglary and pleaded guilty to the Class D felony of second-degree burglary.

The court revoked his probation and ordered the execution of his previously suspended seven-year sentence in the Missouri Department of Corrections. The court recommended he be placed in a 120-day shock incarceration program, with a bed date of Jan. 7. The court also ordered he pay $4,764.66 in restitution.

The court also sentenced Lawrence to four years in prison on his new burglary case and recommended he be placed in a 120-day shock incarceration program, with a bed date of Jan. 7. The court also ordered Lawrence pay $4,000 in restitution.

The court further ordered Lawrence’s sentences to be served consecutively.


Daniel Ray Mattison of Fairdealing admitted violating his probation Dec. 11 on the Class C felony of possession of a controlled substance.

The court revoked his probation and ordered the execution of his previously suspended five-year sentence in the Missouri Department of Corrections. The court ordered Mattison’s sentence be served concurrently with any other sentence he currently is serving.


Rondelius A. Mitchell of the 100 block of Fashionable Circle was sentenced Dec. 11 after earlier pleading guilty to the Class E felony of resisting arrest.

The court sentenced Mitchell, who was charged as a prior and persistent offender, to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

The court ordered Mitchell’s sentence to be serve concurrently with any other sentence he currently is serving and ordered he pay $46 to the CVF.


Christina Stone of Imperial, Mo. pleaded guilty Dec. 11 to the Class E felony of non-support.

The court suspended the imposition of her sentence and placed her on five years’ supervised probation. The court ordered she pay $46 to the CVF.


Michael Anthony Brown of the 1600 block of County Road 434 admitted violating his probation Dec. 18 on the Class A felony of distribution of a controlled substance near a school.

The court revoked his probation and ordered the execution of his previously suspended 15-year sentence in the Missouri Department of Corrections.


Denver Wade Gore of Van Buren pleaded guilty Dec. 18 to the Class D felony of endangering the welfare of a child.

The court sentenced him to five years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, with suspended execution of his sentence, and placed him on five years’ supervised probation.

The court ordered he pay $46 to the CVF and required he register as a sex offender.


Lyn L. Dodson of the 3300 block of Kanell Boulevard was sentenced Dec. 18 after earlier being found in violation of her probation.

The court revoked her probation and ordered the execution of her previously suspended three-year sentence in the Missouri Department of Corrections.


Thomas Keith Graham of the 1200 block of Highway 142 pleaded guilty Dec. 18 to the Class E felony of unlawful use of a weapon.

The court suspended the imposition of his sentence and placed him on five years’ supervised probation. The court ordered he pay $46 to the CVF and $300 to the Butler County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund.


Brandon Ray Howell of the 1500 block of Alice Street pleaded guilty Dec. 18 to the Class D felony of unlawful possession of a firearm.

The court sentenced him to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections and ordered his sentenced to be served concurrently with any other sentence he currently is serving.

The court also ordered he pay $46 to the CVF.


Dawn Marie Rodgers of Poplar Bluff admitted violating her probation Dec. 18 to the Class B felony of sale of a controlled substance.

The court revoked her probation and ordered the execution of her previously suspended eight-year sentence in the Missouri Department of Corrections.


Terri Michelle Spradling of the 2000 block of Highway B pleaded guilty Dec. 18 to the Class D felony of possession of a controlled substance.

The court suspended the imposition of her sentence and placed her on five years’ supervised probation.

The court ordered she pay $46 to the CVF and $300 to the Butler County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund.


Dwaine John Wilmot III of the 800 block of Clare Avenue admitted violating his probation Dec. 18 on the Class C felony of second-degree burglary.

The court revoked his probation and sentenced him to five years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.


Duquion Depre Drake of the 400 block of North G Street pleaded guilty Dec. 26 to the Class E felony of unlawful use of a weapon.

The court sentenced him four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections and ordered he pay $46 to the CVF.


Brandy Lynn Beck of Farmington, Mo. pleaded guilty Dec. 26 to the Class D felony of possession of a controlled substance.

The court sentenced her to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, with suspended execution of her sentence, and placed her on five years’ supervised probation.

The court ordered she pay $46 to the CVF and $300 to the Butler County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund.


Bryant Alexander Brown of the 500 block of North Second Street pleaded guilty Dec. 26 to the Class D felony of unlawful possession of a firearm.

The court sentenced Brown, who was charged as a prior and persistent offender, to 10 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. The court also ordered he pay $46 to the CVF.


Justin Kyle Eastin of the 2600 block of Russell Road pleaded guilty Dec. 26 to the Class D felony of possession of a controlled substance and the Class E felony of non-support.

The court suspended the imposition of Eastin’s sentences and placed him on five years’ supervised probation in each case.

The court ordered he pay $46 to the CVF and $300 to the Butler County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund on his drug case.

The court also ordered he pay $46 to the CVF and $241 per month in current child support and $59 per month in arrears, beginning Feb. 2.


Jeffrey Allen Evans of the 1500 block of Coolidge pleaded guilty Dec. 26 to the Class E felony of third-degree assault.

The court sentenced him to two years in the Missouri Department of Corrections and ordered he pay $46 to the CVF.


Cassie Diane Fant of Van Buren pleaded guilty Dec. 26 to the Class C felony of delivery of a controlled substance.

The court sentenced her to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections and ordered her sentence to be served concurrently with a Carter County case. The court also ordered she pay $46 to the CVF.


Michael Wayne Harris of Glenallen, Mo. pleaded guilty Dec. 26 to the Class D felonies of stealing and second-degree burglary.

The court sentenced him to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on the stealing charge and three years in prison on the burglary charge.

The court recommended he be placed in a long-term treatment program, with a bed date of Feb. 11 , and ordered he pay $46 to the CVF.


Matthias Jabs Turner of the 300 block of Euclid Street pleaded guilty Dec. 26 to the Class E felony of non-support.

The court suspended the imposition of his sentence and placed him on five years’ unsupervised probation.

The court ordered he pay $46 to the CVF and $62 per month in current child support and $50 per month in arrears, beginning Feb. 1.


Querone Harrison Jones of the 1100 block of Benton Street admitted violating his probation Dec. 26 on the Class B felony of distribution of a controlled substance.

The court revoked his probation and ordered the execution of his previously suspended five-year sentence in the Missouri Department of Corrections.


Nicholas Kyle Smith of the 1100 block of Fairmont Street pleaded guilty Dec. 26 to the Class D felony of possession of a controlled substance.

The court sentenced him to five years in the Missouri Department of Corrections and ordered his sentence to be served concurrently with any other sentence he concurrently is serving.

The court also ordered he pay $46 to the CVF.


Kelly Dean Taylor of the 600 block of North Riverview Drive admitted violating his probation Dec. 26 on the Class B felony of sale of a controlled substance and pleading guilty to the Class D felony of possession of a controlled substance.

The court revoked his probation and ordered the execution of his previously suspended 12-year sentence in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

The court also sentenced him to six years in prison on his new case and ordered he pay $46 to the CVF.

The court ordered Taylor’s sentences to be served concurrently.
