July 4th supporters thanked by DPB, city

Downtown Poplar Bluff Inc., the City of Poplar Bluff, the Chamber of Commerce, and City Council would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to Briggs & Stratton and Mid-Continent Steel & Wire for sponsoring the annual Downtown Poplar Bluff fireworks show.

We would also like to extend a thank you to Fox Radio Network for sponsoring the annual Fourth of July Parade. Winners of the patriotic float contest were Hefner Furniture, Department of Veterans Affairs and Three Rivers Shrine Club.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the parade and to all who came out in the heat to watch. A big thank you to Matt Winters, Andy Moore and Monique Coleman for judging. Thank you to everyone involved in making our Fourth of July activities a success such as the Police Department, Highway Patrol, Sheriff Department, Reserve officers, City of Poplar Bluff Street Department, Fire Department, Park Department and all other volunteers.
