QULIN, Mo. - Franklin "Short" Kinney, age 71, of Broseley, MO, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at his residence in Broseley, MO. Mr. Kinney was born July 11, 1946 in Neelyville, MO son of the late Charles and Clara (Hankey) Kinney. He was a welder and had retired from St. Louis Refrigerator Car after 25 years. He enjoyed reading his Bible and picking Sassafras and Witch Hazel leaves. He is survived by four children: Sandra Foust and husband Bobby and Kevin Kinney and wife Jennifer both of Broseley, James Kinney and husband Nick of Honolulu, HI and Mary Manos and husband John of Mableton, GA; two sisters: Sharon Baxter & husband Larry of Qulin and Shirley Ethridge of Fisk; one brother: Edward Kinney and wife Pat of Poplar Bluff, MO; six grandchildren: Chantel Foust, Madyson Foust, Hailey Foust, Kevin K. Kinney and wife Amanda, Tyler Kinney and Kirsten Leonard; six great grandchildren and his children's mothers: Sharon Kelly and Linda Dewitt. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Gary and Charles Gene Kinney. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Qulin. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Byron Beck officiating. Burial will be in Carolla Cemetery at Qulin.
