When is Roxie Road reopening?

When will Roxie Road reopen at the new Shelby Road? Thank you.

Old bowling alley viable city hall site

Dear Speak Out, I'm probably too late with this idea. I was just wondering if any our-love-spending-others'-money council members have thought about the property the old Main Street bowlin' alley sits on? I know the building is old but they could probably tear it down, design and build what they wanted, uh, for less than the dollars they would spend on the other building. It would be a perfect access to everything. The police could go north, south, east or west when they had to with no blind spots to get out on the highway. And there's plenty of parking space and everything. It looks to me like a perfect to relocate everything the city has. Thank you Speak Out.

Tax break vs.

trillions in debt.

Jason Smith is really proud of that tax break he says we're gonna get but he never mentions the trillion dollars that he's addin' to the debt and that's 21 trillion total people! That's for your kids and grandkids to pay. Time for some changes. Thank you.

Families biggest school problem

I enjoyed the letter by Joe Cordell on Nov. 8. The letter to the editor. But Mr. Cordell doesn't note expenditures have doubled in the schools system in the last 20 years. The price of a car has tripled or four times and the price of food has quadrupled. Also, we all know, the biggest problem with the school system is the breakdown of the families. Until our country can turn around and make the family and children center of our desires and needs this country's not going to help change our education system. I'm sorry. Thank you Mr. Cordell for your letter. Bye bye.
