To the Editor

This past Saturday, The Friends of Margaret Harwell Art Museum hosted their 3rd annual "Fork and Cork". This was a fun evening (despite the heat) in the Friends Sculpture Garden. The food was by Tasteful Creations, the music was by the Millstones, the beverages were provided by Luecke. The evening was wonderful!

I want to thank the Friends organization. These are hardworking people who give of their time and treasure to make our museum a better place. They worked all day in preparation for the event and that was after months of planning!

We had great sponsors. Ozark Federal Credit Union paid for the expense of the band. Luecke Dist. Co. donated beverages and loaned us a tent and a large industrial fan. Whitworth's Giftchest Jewelers donated several silent auction items. Dana and Travis Adams donated a bronze sculpture and a Kathy Dickson original painting. Those two items brought in the most money by far! Dr. Lance Yeoman gave us a sizeable donation.

I'd also like to thank the DAR for the articles they printed and River Radio. I was on 3 stations 3 times each. Thank you, Frankie Casteel! I was also given interviews on FM 99.9 and KLUE. Thank you Robbie and Brittney!

This all resulted in the biggest MHAM event in quite a while if not ever.

We haven't set the date for next year but I suggest you start checking with us so you can make plans to attend next year. You won't want to miss out! This year we had good lighting and clear skies and working fans to keep people cool. We'll make sure we keep improving the event next year!

Thanks again
