on city hall issue

I agree with Mr. Michel regarding city hall, police station, etc. Demolish the old station or repair and remodel it as needed. It needs to stay centrally located. Please don't put it farther northwest as everything is going to be best accessible to all in the least amount of time. Near the courthouse and jail is best. Thank you.

Another bond vote

for Twin Rivers?

Apparently the Twin Rivers school board and Mr. Siebert has a very short memory, uh. How many times do the people have to tell them NO on this bond issue? I think we need a Obama, a Trump election. Out with the old, in with the new. And get all new people starting with the April election. Thank you.

NFL players

make me sick

Yes, I think the NFL players and those overgrown, spoiled men, or claim to be men, who gets millions of dollars to play sports when ever body raves about 'em. Kinda like movie stars. If you don't like it, don't play! Take your venting out somewhere else. Makes me sick to my stomach! Thank you.

Northwest is

best for the city

If it wasn't for the city lettin' that building, uh, on 2nd St. get in the shape it's in they'd still have a good place. But they let it go to pot and then Emily Parks, all she's thinkin' about is money. She's afraid she's gonna lose some of her salary. They better think about what's best for the city and move to Northwest. Thank you.

I find it difficult to believe that 4 people can make life lasting decisions for the citizens of Poplar Bluff. These four people are obligating us for millions of dollars in tax money without a vote. It is time for the "silent" majority to speak out.

Yeah, there hasn't been any downtown for several years. There's nothin' historical down there but the old post, but the old courthouse and uh, and uh, the justice center is not historical. I don't know why those people are complainin'.

Elderly gets no

help from cabbie

Cab drivers are very lazy. Went to Walmart the other day. Cab drive pulls up, popped the hood. Had to load my groceries, put 'em in myself. Got to my address, same way again. Ain't enough for the money. They need to get off their butts and help the elderly.

Who needs the

NFL anyway?

Yeah, who needs the NFL anyways. Uh, take it a little further just boycott the NFL, just watching them or going to the games. Quit buying products from those that advertise while those games are playing; Walmart, Geico and all the other insurance companies. If we stop buying their products maybe we'll force them to stand up. Thank you.

Why doesn't R-1

teach cursive?!

I had some paperwork the other day that my daughter had to sign. I gave it to her and she asked what she should do. Simple. Sign it I said. She said she didn't know how. I was flabbergasted. She's in the 7th grade and she doesn't know how to sign her name? She eventually had to sign it in block letters. What are they teaching our kids in school nowadays? What are we paying these exorbitant school taxes for anyway? I guess it's for a new overcost football stadium and not for education? I am beyond disgusted.
