Analyzing the economy

Speak Out, I'd just like to remind everyone when you are doing comparisons of an economy today and, say, 20 years ago, it's erroneous to look at dollar figures. The true gauge is numbers of an item sold that tells you the condition the consumer is in. Doesn't necessarily tell you how your manufacturer and your retailer in the dealer network set up, but if your pickup fails, say the pickup truck has the dollar figure, if that's what you're looking at, has doubled. Your unit sales are down dramatically because the prime is so much higher now than it was just a few years ago, and that goes for nearly everything.

So, unless you are talking to an economist who has analyzed things from all points of view, you're not getting a true picture of what's going on.

Good luck to us all! Thank you.
