Holding your

car for ransom

I pray you will print this article, but here goes anyway. As a retired licensed auto vehicle inspector in our community I'm a little bit disheartened to hear that we now have a prominent dealership that the mechanics basically when there's a failure during a vehicle auto inspection feels they can hold the car for ransom not allowing you to remove your vehicle, pay for the inspection and take it to any other shop anywhere to have it repaired and returned to finish the inspection. Now I'm hoping and praying some state patrol officer that works out in the inspection division here will give a second eye to ALL of the dealerships in town and find out just exactly who this dealer is because, myself, having been a licensed inspector, hearing that -- that's a huge red flag! No inspection station can hold your vehicle until they repair it. So, I'm putting, not only the dealership on alert, but the state patrol is put on alert as well. Mechanics have a bad enough reputation without this happening in our small town. Thank you, Speak Out.

Upset at

laundromat

I am upset with the laundromat at the north end of town. Ever since the new owners took over everything is breaking down. You go in there and there are little signs hanging everywhere and on too many of the dryers. I've lost money so many times. All the women who work there are very nice, helpful, they do keep the place up nice and clean but they might not have a job very long if the owner does not keep up with things on his end.
