Plant cypress

trees in lake

The State of Missouri Forestry Division plants thousands of trees every year. Why can't they plant cypress trees in Lake Wappapello to provide cover for the fish? I realize that Lake Wappapello is a Corps of Engineers Federal lake but surely some kind of cooperative arrangement could be made to allow Missouri to plant cypress trees in that lake. Adequate cover for the fish is sorely needed and cypress trees would go a long way toward fulfilling that need. Thank you.

Vets speak out about volunteers

Yes, I'm calling about the VA in Poplar Bluff and the Voluntary Services Division. We have a problem. People are being unfairly treated. There's a lady who has been there for many years and accepted by everyone and they suspended her unjustly and we the veterans of Poplar Bluff VA believe that she should be brought back. Anyone who feels the same way should contact the Medical Center Director or the Dept. of Veterans Affairs. I thank you for your time.

Get rid of those

long running ads

Speak Out, I was sitting her looking under "Farm Equipment" -- you've got a cattle head shoot for $500 and you got a pair of dual wheels tractor for $500. I come down there put in an ad it cost me $30 and I know these two people cannot be payin' you two years. I get tired of reading it in the paper every day for two years which would be more the price of $500. I'd like for you to check this out and get rid of some of that ads that have been in there for two years just to fill the paper.
