Kill you or

make you sick?

[MAIL] Once again the people of Poplar Bluff have received a letter stating back in 2015 our water had a problem if you have an immune problem or have an infant or, if your elderly. I would say that's about 1/2 of PB.

My question is: why hasn't this been #1 priority with the city instead of spending on everything else including spending 50,000 on someone else to give you ideas on downtown.

City Council take care of what's most important for the public!

Is the water going to have to kill you or make you sick before you understand what's most important!

We pay dearly for water we can't drink. We're having to buy water to drink at the store.

Some one needs to step up to this problem quickly not months or years and for goodness sake do it right -- no good old boy stuff!

When you boil a bottled water -- the pan comes out clean -- try boiling your tap water and see what's left in the pan, boit it dry then take your finger, wet it and wipe the botton of your pan, you will be surprised!

Some one need to be responsible for this, that's why we pay taxes plus pay for bottled water and a high water bill. Your the reason we're sick!

Failing others

Some communities fail people and then criticize them for failing. There are people in Poplar Bluff living, two families to house, to make ends meet. A young special needs man and his dog died of exposure while sleeping in the woods near the high school. Some veterans are too disabled to drive and veterans that have lost their spouse and can no longer drive that would benefit from the housing project near the hospital and near public transportation so they don't have to try to find a ride to appointments. Veterans, low-income and special needs people are no different than everyone else and their needs for a place to call home and a good standard of living. Qualifications for the planning and zoning have been met by the proposed housing project. If it's about money or business interests people objecting to the new housing need to ask themselves how does it feel to have a nice home and a way of life and stand in the way of others trying to have one? Thank you.

Stand up for others

Just seen the noon day news -- old man George Bush and that old dog-lovin' wife of his got out of the hospital with bronchitis and breathing problems -- sure they get the best health care when all they can talk about it now in Missouri Medicaid for poor people, the poorest of the poor, handicapped kids -- they can't help the way they were born - can't even go to the dentist and get their teeth fixed. Social Security got a three dollar crummy raise this year. I wish all them old retired from that White House and Jefferson City that was all they got was three dollars an hour. When in the h* * * is this country gonna get tired that and start standing up for what should be?

You probably won't print this because the DAR is a Republican party -- they never say nothing bad about Republicans. Everybody knows they are all for the Republicans, but I hope you do print this. Thank you.

Stop bullying

I'm calling about the bullying that goes on at school and I have talked to superintendents and principals and different people about the bullying at different schools and it still goes on. Are our principals and superintendents of our school that lazy -- they have to be -- bullying should be stopped in the local schools. Thank you.
