Post Office

needs a local box

I was wondering why the Poplar Bluff Post Office doesn't have a "LOCAL" box where you could drop. It seems to be a few years ago they did have one. I understand now mail dropped at the Poplar Bluff Post Office goes to St. Louis even if you're mailing letters to someone in Poplar Bluff it goes all the way to St. Louis. That's the way I understand it. I'm just curious as to why that is. Thank you very much.

Highway 172

is a death trap

Hwy. 172 between York Village and Hwy. W going into Lake Wappapello is a DEATH TRAP! It is a fiasco! Catastrophe! Waiting to happen! There are dead trees leaning across the road, there are huge limbs about to fall on the road and it is a mess! I'm afraid during the next ice storm someone will be injured. Hwy. KK was cleaned up and it looked almost as bad as 172. But someone needs to made aware of this and someone needs to go in and clean up that mess before someone is injured or killed. Thank you.
