Where's the

support?

The title of this Speak Out is "No Support from PBHS Administrators." In response to the Speak Out on Friday, Nov. 18th, teachers were not told about or invited to the Academic Reception. Unfortunately, under the current administration this is par for the course. If the reader is outraged by a lack of teacher support, he or she should call Principal Mike Kiehne and ask him why the teachers were not invited.

Also the administration failed to inform the public that what they attended in late August was not an open house. It was an informal walk-through that teachers were not even asked to be at. Unfortunately, teachers are not valued, supported or appreciated. The administration is concerned only with data, not about students and teachers and creating learning environments that are authentic.

To revamp or not

It's a small group downtown that wants to revamp it! They should vote for the rich, wealthy friends and have them donate the money and have their fund raisers. It shouldn't be on the city. The people in this town are sick of our tax dollars being spent on something that don't need be. When youn's drive down Broadway don't you see the homeless people down there? The parking garage has never been good for nothing. Why don't they reclaim it and redo it and make a homeless shelter with a soup kitchen in it, but no they won't do that. They'll just turn their head and a blind eye to them people. But they'll be in church on Sunday morning claiming to be Christians. Well a million dollars and a bale of hay will be the same on SWjudgment day and I pity 'em for the thieving' going on in this town. They want the city to pay for it, so it can be like the coliseum -- it can be a pork barrel to line their pockets.

This probably won't get printed but I hope it does. Thank you.

Crazy

We had a beautiful post office and they tore it down and built that creepy parking garage! How stupid is that!? Now all of sudden they want to tear it down and want the city to pay for it. That's crazy!

What's to

redevelop?

There is NO downtown! They tore all the stores out . . . [garbled]. There will never be a downtown, then why try to redevelop? There is nothing there to redevelop! And why pay more taxes to help? Thank you.
