Show

appreciation,

comp a cop

Lets recognize our police officers.

We need to acknowledge our appreciation with them everywhere we go. They are underpaid and certainly under siege as evidenced by the almost daily reports of police attacks by thugs.

Demonstrate your appreciation by purchasing their refreshments, lunch, dinner, etc. when you can and are financially able. Some police departments do not allow this, but your gesture will let the officer know how much you appreciate them.

A complimentary (comped) meal on occasion will not break the bank. Dropping off gift certificates to the senior officers from the local pizza parlor, catering familiy or the ever popular doughnut shop will make then realize how we understand the pressure and danger of their jobs.

If you really appreciate them, share this article with friends in other towns/cities and encourage them to place the ad locally.

God bless our police officers. They care as much about us as we do them.

Don't spit gum

on parking lot

Why do people go out to a beautiful store like Menard's and split a big gob of chewing gum for people to walk on as I did then have to get in a new car and get it on the carpet. Maybe they will be next. Is that what they do on their driveway? Probably not. They may need a place to deposit their gum beside the parking lot.

No privacy in

public housing

Yes, this is about Poplar Bluff's Housing Authority and how we have no privacy. We have no privacy in our homes you know for yourself and when you're not home and they show up when you're not home and they go through your stuff. I know for a fact because I came home one day and found a note saying they came to spray and I seen my pictures on my wall had been moved and some of my personal belongings were messed with. I'm OCD and I know how my stuff was put because I keep it organized. Bye.

Early closing

license bureau

I think it's just great -- that's sarcasm -- that the Van Buren License Bureau gets to close early every day. From 3 PM to the supposed closing time at 4 they take their phone off the hook so you only get a busy signal. It has been more than once that this has happened to me, for over a year now. I try to call as I don't want to waste gas on making a trip there if they're going to shut early. When you show up at around 3:30, the door is locked. A nice man who was outside the restaurant next door told me he had seen them leave 15 minutes prior. All I know is that I want that job. Sounds like I can set my own hours and everything.

True life story

of Leon Little

Sunday, July 24, 2016 paper carried the most true to life story that's ever been written in P. B. paper. How many others has been living nightmares in prison as Leon Little did. Thanks to Chelsae Cordia and Corey Matthews for doing this article.

Please people tell the truth and don't send our sons, husbands and brothers to prison and for years for something they didn't do. What is this world coming too. Prison ruins the life of so many good men and their family.

Think people! before you say you saw something you really didn't. How much money do you think it cost the state for housing someone in prison for years. Good luck to Leon Little for his autobiography on when the law corrupts! We need justice for all.
