Take back

our community

Butler Country and the City of Poplar Bluff citizens need to band together and STOP the drug trade within our community. We need to lobby for stiffer penalties and we need to ask the state of Missouri lawmakers to make it illegal to be a drug addict. We are losing our children to these people as they begin to give meth, cocaine, heroin and other drugs to them just to get them hooked and then sell it to them afterwards. We have to stop it!!!!

So support law enforcement officials and don't stay silent when you see a deal going down Call 911 flood our local law enforcement with tips and make sure you get information descriptions of persons and cars license plate numbers etc. Come on everyone, let's take back our community and save the lives of our youth.

Walmart needs to

respect customers

Walmart needs to do something about their male wanna be female worker walking around the store in his bikini. That is gross. Walmart needs to have a little more respect for their customers.

Little girl

needs justice

Well, it looks like the good ole boy method is working again in Poplar Bluff. We've got a hit and run driver that no doubt was drunk the night he ran over that little girl and the prosecuting attorney has decided to do nothing about it because they were friends. Well, everyone just remember one thing, I hope that every night the prosecuting attorney goes to sleep he sees this little girl's face with her eyes open and her deceased -- I hope he sees this every night! And I hope the man who run over her he will get his justice at the end. There's no doubt about this! We're gonna have to stop all of this good buddy stuff that's going on. And I think we need to try to elect a new coroner and a new prosecuting attorney and get rid of what we've got in Poplar Bluff.

Thanks for the

Clydesdale visit

I want to thank Budweiser and Bobby Godwin for the opportunity to tour the coliseum to see the beautiful Clydesdales. It was too bad we had such horrible hot weather during their appearances. It was a amazing and was so proud to see them parade down Pine and Westwood Blvds. Wappapello was very crowded for the parade across the dam. They policed everyone and the handlers were very informative. Too bad Clyde had a bad experience from his fall off the wagon. No more Bud for you! Thanks to all involved.

It might be time to

leave Greenville

This is in response to the "Ask Questions" article in the DAR. Did you get the real story? Did you go to the proper authorities and get the answers to your questions? Shame on you, Christine, for all the negative things you said about the city of Greenville. You should be doing things to build up the city not writing bad articles. My advice to you if you are embarrassed to live in the city of Greenville -- to move!

Truly enjoyed the

weekend DAR

Hello. I just wanted to say I truly enjoyed reading the weekend newspaper. Today there was a lot of good human interest stories that were in although we did need to have the reports of killings and etc., but we are bombarded with that on the TV. It was very good to see about the adult education graduates and the Sunday Extra article with the wonderful photographs. Thank you.
