Justice for all

Yes, I'm calling in regards to the comments about the accident which occurred -- the hit and run, killing the young girl in Poplar Bluff. Justice for all! Our law enforcement and prosecuting attorney and everyone we are to uphold the law for ALL not because you are a prominent business leader or business man and not for a poor, insignificant family member. I can't help but to drive by and I live in that area and it's very sad every time I drive by there and remember the markings that I saw on the road as a result of the accident. And yet how can they continue to call Ressell a prominent business man? That means to be one who stands out in the community and yes, he's definitely standing out but for the WRONG reasons! He's NOT a leader. A true leader would not have done and reacted the way he did. Even if he had been under the influence a true leader would have stood and took his punishment. DON'T PAY YOUR OUT! That's the problem with our city and our town and our nation! Money and power seems to talk, but righteousness will prevail. We must remember this family of this child that's been sad and misses their child very much. I pray that the truth will come out and yet how does the PA when everyone knows according to the DNA that was found under Ressel's truck. That's evidence, plus they had to go find him. He didn't turn himself in! That speaks for itself as well. Justice must prevail in this situation! Please Poplar Bluff and Prosecuting Attorney reconsider your decision. It's justice for ALL! Justice for ALL! Thank you.

Make prisoners

work for keep

Yeah, I'd like to put a little piece in Speak Out. I was just readin' in the paper here a while ago about this guy gettin' 10 years in the pen. Why put them in the pen? Feed 'em. Let 'em get fat and sassy at taxpayers expense. Get a work farm out and make them go on the work farm 30 cents an hour like I done when I was a kid pickin' cotton, choppin' cotton by hand, from sun up to sun down. It breaks 'em from going to jail or expense and ever'thin'.

Thank you for Speak Out.

Swat'em when

they are out

Mosquitoes! Let's get real. I was in my yard Tuesday afternoon when all of sudden I heard this racket and mosquito spray truck flies down the neighborhood. Now, let's get real. Why start so early? Why don't they wait till about dark starts? You're just wasting taxpayers money for them to fly down streets during broad daylight. Thank you.

PB living up to

Sin City nickname

What a great town we live in. First of all, all our school board cares about is a fancy baseball field and football field.

Then the prosecuting attorney and county coroner conspire to get their buddy off the hook. (They say there is no evidence that he killed that girl. But they can't prove the other guy did either.)

Now one of city council members is accused of stealing money and material items from 92-year-old with cancer.

Voting in elections is the only way to get these people out of office.

What a great community to live in. HA!!!!!!!!!!!! If I were physically able and younger, I'd sell my place and get out of this crooked place. Now I know why Poplar Bluff was called "sin city."

Ressel guilty

of something

Dear DAR - I read the editorial that you printed - I also think that Ben Ressel should have some form of punishment as he left the scene of an accident. They should have checked the alcohol that was possibly the reason that they didn't stop for the girl. I was under the impression that they were buddies drinking together - driving different vehicles starting at one bar and ending up at Green Forest Bar - they could have been drinking all day.

Sincerely,

A Concerned Citizen

P.S. I am not a family member nor do I know that young girl's family or her.
