Letter to the Editor

Area man sounds off about 'justice'

Thursday, June 16, 2016

Dear Editor:

Please print this letter so the people of Poplar Bluff, Butler County and the State of Missouri can understand what has happened under their nose.

The entire system of "justice", city, county and state has been proven, by their own admission, to be incapable of enforcing the law. It is a FELONY in every State of this Nation to leave the scene of an accident where bodily injury or death has occurred, PERIOD. Whether or not it was your fault or even if you had nothing to do with the injury or death, if you were there, YOU DON'T LEAVE THE SCENE UNTIL GIVEN PERMISSION TO DO SO BY PROPER AUTHORITIES.

Every person who had any part in NOT filing the above charge against the "good old boy" who ran over a human body (dead or not) and kept on going and hid the fact from the authorities should be charged with criminal negligence and removed from office. Anything less will only lead to more corruption. Money and/or power should NEVER be the difference in justice being served.

Sincerely,

Eldon Wright

Wappapello, Mo.
