Kneibert sale

impacts insurance

Dear Speak Out, I'd like to address the purchase of Kneibert Clinic by St. Francis Hospital. We have received a letter in the mail from Kneibert Clinic informing of this purchase. How wonderful things will be. How we will continue to receive the same quality service we have come to know and trust through the staff of Kneibert Clinic. We have seen their full-page advertisements in the DAR informing us how wonderful of this change is going to be; however, at no time has Kneibert Clinic nor St. Francis Medical Center informed any of the patients that if your insurance is through the Affordable Health Care Act even if it's the same provider you have always had before this Affordable HealthCare Act or if you are an Arkansas Medicaid patient these type of health care insurance providers are NO longer acceptable. This means if you, as a patient, have made an appointment and show up expecting status quo you will be informed at that time during check-in that you need to make other arrangements for payment. Imagine if you can a person driving over 50 miles one way to come to the doctor and be told your Arkansas Medicaid is no longer accepted.

I know for a fact that this has happened. I also know that person was outraged and took it out on the poor person checking him in. Someone with no control over what management has caused. Let me make this clear -- it is not the fault of the people working at Kneibert Clinic. They are caught in the middle of this as are the patients. Please show them some respect. Instead please direct your anger to St. Francis Medical Center for, in my opinion, showing a total lack of respect for their newly acquired, but obviously now, former patients.

A simple paragraph could have been included in the notification letter that they are no longer accepting any insurance provided by the Affordable Healthcare Act (with the exception of Coventry) or Arkansas Medicaid. I think it would be lovely if the doctors who did NOT vote yes to this sell out would leave, start their own clinic, and continue to provide care for those of us who are now without a physician until we can find a new doctor and build the bridge of trust that we have established with the staff at Kneibert Clinic over the past year.

Please publish this as soon as possible so others won't waste their time making appointments that they will not be able to keep. Thank you and good evening.

Law is clear on

Hilliary candidacy

Former United States Attorney General Michael Mukasey tells MSNBC that not only is Hillary Clinton's private mail server illegal, it "disqualifies" her from holding any federal office.

Such as, say, President of the United States.

"If you do this or that bad think you've essentially disqualified yourself as being the leader of the free world," said Mukasey, referring to the illegal server and the illegal handling of classified materials.

Mukasey specifically points to one federal law, Title 18. Section 2071.

For those os us who do not have United States Code committed to memory, here's what it says:

(a) "Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both."

(b) "Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies or destroys the same, shall be fined under this titles or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term "office" does not include the office held any person as a retired office of the Armed Forces of the United States."

Yes, it explicitly states "shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States."

Shouldn't voters know that? The media won't tell them. So it's up to us. Can you help hold Hillary accountable?

the warrant?

If you are served a warrant and you live in the city limits, who serves it? Poplar Bluff Police Dept. or the Sheriff's Dept.?
