Yeah! What happened to Speak Out? I really did enjoy readin' that stuff. Keeps me informed what's goin' on in the community. I enjoy it! Keeps me informed. I ain't got nothin' else goin' on in my life. Okey, dokey!

Not even a card

I was just wondering how many people that didn't wish a good year to come up or a Merry Christmas last year? I know a young lady that does things for people -- oh, she is so kind and out of her heart she does these things. She doesn't have any children of her own, but she does things for everyone else and I just wonder how many people thought so much of this young lady that they didn't even give her a card. I wish her good happiness this new year. Thank you.

Where's spirit

What a disappointment Monday night at our home town basketball Lady Mules game! If you didn't know you would have thought we were playing at Twin Rivers. Their team support outnumbered and attendance out numbered our home town Lady Mules support 10 to 1! They stood up when their players were introduced. They cheered their team on and that is why their team played with intensity. The Lady Mules played with dedication and poured their hearts into the game in spite of the lack of home town and fan support from the Mule Barn, the Booster Club and sports fans in general. C'mon, Poplar Bluff Lady Mules fans, where's the Mule pride? The girls' sports program deserves the support as much as the Mules Boys' program.

Let's support our Lady Mules and show that Mule pride is still strong and faithful to Poplar Bluff. Thank you.

Stop blowing past school bus

If you have to go to work early in the morning. Get up a little earlier. Don't treat Charleton Lane as a personal drag strip to get down to Barron Road especially when the school buses are running. Please don't pass school buses that have the arm extended and the flashing lights that all adults who have a driver's license in the State of Missouri should know -- you stop! And if you're gonna blow past a bus 'cause you're driving crazy and texting and talkin' on the phone and not paying attention when school kids are out, then don't do it in the company car that has the company logo all over it. 'Cause guess what? Everybody up and down Charleton Lane saw it! Thank you.
