the dictator?

I respect the D.A.R. I would like your opinion of the talk going around that President Obama is going to declare, by Executive order, the Presidentail election invalad and install military rule.

As no one has stopped him from using this order so far. Is this a really possibility?

Handle city

business here

Once again . . . with as many lawyers as we have in this town -- I'm sure some are competent enough to handle the city business (perhaps not the one we have hired to be the city attorney). I don't know why the city constantly goes out of town and pays through the nose for their services. When will the city and council realize that we don't have the money?

They expect us to spend our money locally while they go out of town and throw away our tax dollars to consultants, web designers, insurance brokers, etc.--I could go on and on and on and on!!!!

Hard to see a

local doctor

I just want to ask all the doctors in this town why is it so difficult to get in to see you? Why does the patient have to be 'screened' before you decide if you want to treat them or not? Why is it that you will treat a patient with one thing but not another? Does a person really want a doctor who will only treat one ailment and not another? I ask because as a person who is seeking a new one; a decent reputable one, I am baffled at this interview process. Has the medical field gone down hill that much? Are the doctors that skeptical about patients using and abusing medications? Are the doctors just becoming lazy and don't really care about the patient's wellbeing? I really want to know this before throwing in the towel.

School tax

is pretty high

I think it's pretty bad when a single person that only has a vehicle to pay taxes on has as much school taxes as someone with a half a dozen kids in school. Thank you.

Poor people

have problems

Yes this is in response to Senior Citizens that Don't Get Help. That is so true! I've been working here in Poplar Bluff since I was 16 years old. I'm not 16 any more. I'm a senior citizen and I don't get help. The rich judges they get the . . . well, we know . . . they get all of it and we don't get anything.

Yeah, not only did the school tax go up, but the assessment went up. If you are a poor person in this town you've got problems, people. Thank you.
