No choice

but NewWave

I am a loyal customer of NEW WAVE..I had no chose but to be one after the sale of the system (which I supported) my City....

But I am sorely disappointed with the obviously inferior service provided by NEW WAVE. I subscribe only for the internet service through my cable here INSIDE the city.

I promptly and faithfully pay for this service with NEW WAVE. BUT, my internet service is unreliable and deficient on a continuing basis. I have installed and upgraded at my own expense a top end, name brand WI-FI router...yet I am experiencing continual intermittent loss of service....

I might be more patient and understanding if I was trying to access my service during high peak times...but I have the same problems whether my attempted access is at 4 a.m. or 11 p.m....It constantly comes and goes....sometime it will come back online after a long delay...but often I have to re-boot my WI-FI router....the manufacturer of my expensive router tells me it is the providers problem. I am angry and disappointed that the City's exclusive contract provider NEW WAVE always puts the blame somewhere else...specifically on my WI-FI company. I gave NEW WAVE the benefit of the doubt and purchased a high-end new WI-FI router....to no avail...

I am growing weary of the volleyball game that NEW WAVE is playing with me..."its your router....get a new one"...then when I do......."your new one isn't working right"...I know I am not alone as I have talked to many friends and neighbors with the same problem.... and their problems have been confirmed in a FLURRY of social media...

We all pay good money as a captive customer...we deserve better....City officials have rightly told me that they have little if any power because the system has been sold and they have no regulatory power....I assume they are correct....but this is an issue that needs to be addressed....and NEW WAVE needs to fix it, or be prepared for and onslaught of customers being forced to take legal action, or....seeking alternative services...in this world of rapidly changing technology...we will eventually find an alternative...

Going down township to PP Highway is a lawsuit ready to happen. They need to close a couple hundred feet of that and bring the traffic out at West Street to PP Highway so it makes it safer.

Why isn't

VA flying flag?

I drove by the VA today and it is sad that the flag is down. I know they are doing some construction and all that, but I don't care what the flag needs to be flying and somebody needs to get on it and say, Hey, you're the VA, the Veterans Dept. of Affairs. So, I hope you get on this. Thank you and have a great day.

Just to comment in response to two notes in this evening's Speak Out. One about a used furniture location, the other about a bowling alley. The questions are, why won't someone put that business in? Business means free enterprise. If they were profitable, they would be in and perhaps someone who is interested in doing that, like the letter writer, might be interested in opening those businesses. Thank you.

Yes, I'd like to know why there is nothing in the paper about the softball or the baseball team for Three Rivers? The ones who have kids playing in this area would like to know when they play and the results. Thank you.

(EDITOR'S NOTE: Games during the fall season for baseball and softball for NJCAA teams are considered scrimmages. In the past, it was even against NJCAA bylaws to report results to the media. While that bylaw has recently been repealed, Three Rivers teams do not report fall scrimmages and our coverage of the Raiders focuses on the spring, when the games count.
