Preserving summer squash

This is the time of year when many home gardeners may still be harvesting summer squash. There are several different types of summer squash. You may be enjoying zucchini, marrow, crookneck, cocozelle, straightneck, and even pattypan. Don't wait too long to pick this veggie. Harvest it when very young, just 2 to 7 days after flowering.
