Paving Brick's road irks reader

Hi, I wanted to comment on the paving of the roads. I've lived on my road which is 482 for 40 years and I've been begging to get our road paved all that time. And also 480 that has a cemetery on it and also a church over there and we been wanting to get it paved and we call.

A few years back we voted in a, I believe it was a one percent or maybe two percent, sale tax so they would be paving the roads. Well, I don't know where that went! But anyway, they haven't paved any roads and then the first thing we hear is they're gonna pave that road 484 for Brick's! For his thing.

I would like to ask the DAR, too, do you ever print that he smuggling in dope a few years back? He flew it in an airplane and it was in the DAR. I'm sure you'd read that. And nobody ever mentions that he's just a common convict! That what he is! But still, the facility people (the road people) and all that they just bow and scrape when he asks for something. Well, I'm against that! I'm against that. We are all decent, honest people that live on these roads and we've owned our homes for 40 years and more. We deserve to get at least one of road paved in our section out here a year and we have not a road paved in any section for years and years.

So I was just wondering about that. People are going to get so tired of that they are going to turn against the city government. So, that was my thought. It just irks me to hear that they might pave Brick's Road over there. That just irks me! So, why would they do that for people getting killed over there and they're messing up the river and a woman is in the hospital paralyzed now because of that place! Why would they do that? It's corrupting our young people. Gives them a place to go to let it all hang out, you know. That's my story. This may cut off, but anyway if it does, it does. But, it just totally makes me sick!

Fix cable

I see in the paper tonight that Poplar Bluff City is trying to fix a lot of things that are broken in the city. They're going to work on mosquito control. They're going to work on a lot of things that are not good because of the last city manager. However, the one thing that really needs to be fixed in Poplar Bluff is New Wave! The service is terrible! The price is prohibitive! It's just a mess. The one thing they need to start working on is a new communications system because New Wave has certainly fooled the City of Poplar Bluff.
