Hello, Speak Out. I've been watching the news the last couple of days on the television and I just wondered if anybody has done any research that would let us know as a country how many fraternities have been shut down and how many people have been fired from their job and how many people have been expelled from school for using the term, "honkie" and "whitey" and "pig"?

You know it's a shame when 12 percent of the population has the rest of the population hornswoggled. Terrible! Just terrible!

Write tickets

at Oak Grove

Reading a recent article about the PB police department needing funds I think I've found a way to help. All they need to do is start passing out tickets to these people at the 5th & 6th Grade Center for running stop signs. Also ticket the people that don't understand the sign that says do not block roadway where the buses go in and out. I've actually had people honk at me to go and it clearly says not to block that area. It is very hard for people turning into or out of Oak Grove in the mornings because of all the cars running the stop signs. If they meant for you to yield or not stop at all they would've put a yield sign or nothing there. I realize that traffic needs to flow at a timely manner but if they intended for us not to stop then there should've been a yield sign put in place instead. Also people don't understand the process of after dropping your child off you proceed up to the stop sign and then you take turns with the next lane going. I can't tell you how many times a car has tried or has cut me off going through that sign. We all have to be at work and no one is any more important that anyone else and everyone should have to obey the signs. This is why kids these days are so rude and selfish because their parents can't even set a simple example by obeying traffic rules. My own child recognized this one day and asked me why people weren't taking turns and cutting people off. I used this opportunity to set a good example for my child. This world might be a better place if you all would do the same.

Eight Points

Hello, I'd like to speak out about the DAR. Why do they not check into this 8 Points development? How much the city owes to 8 Points? And all this was done before the new city manager was here and Mr. DeGaris and all them pulled a bit boo-boo. Why isn't there more in there about that and why we're paying all this interest and all to these people?

I think the old city council and the old manager had all this to do and the new city manager didn't have nothing to do with this. So why don't you report on that? On how they goofed up? Thank you.

Take money

from Kaplan

Let them take that $2 million out of Kaplan's paychecks to pay back the utilities. He's making more money than he's worth anyhow.

Hold someone

responsible

Don, on the front page of the paper ( your publication, of course) it says that $7 million of tax money was misspent by MoDOT. Well, MoDOT isn't a black box. It consists of a lot of bureaucrats. Is no one gonna be held responsible? Is no one gonna have to pay that money back? I mean that was your money and my money. You know. It's like going up to your bank and you knew you had $5,000 in your account, but when you check your balance it says you've got $250. Oh, oh, we give that to another guy that come in. I mean somebody needs to be held responsible.
