A way to go

bankrupt

Hiring someone with a spending problem to run a city is like hiring a drunk to run a bar or hiring someone with a gambling problem to run a casino. If they have trouble finding money after six months, after another six months things will look twice as bad. A finance committee will just be enablers --a group to make excuses for the borrowing. The reason the mayor is one of the people on the finance committee is certainly not because she has a background in finance, it's because she goes along with all the spending.

We want to get all and we want it now is not a plan, it's a way to go bankrupt. If the town has an emergency and can't make its payments it can always get five extra large tents and number each one Fire Station One, Two, Three, Four and Five. Thank you. Bye-bye.

Let him go!

Please get rid of Kaplan as soon as possible! All he's done here is spend, spend, spend. He makes so much money himself let him spend his own money for what he wants. 95 percent of Poplar Bluff doesn't make the money he does. He's living like a king and a dictator. Whatever he says, goes. Let him go! We have never been in worse shape, but we will be if he stays. We need a new mayor and city council and soon! Poplar Bluff used to be a good place to live.
