Are VAMC

TVs missing?

I just heard that all the TVs have been removed from every waiting area at our local VA Hospital. If this is true, why did this happen? Is this happening all over the country? They need to be put back! Our veterans do not need to sit there with nothing to watch.

License bureau ridiculous

This is about the license bureau. I sat out there to have some stuff licensed up a while back and it was from the State of Missouri I bought it from --it was a vehicle -- I bought it from the State of Missouri showed up over to me, got out there and they wouldn't license it up and they said I had to send the title back to the State and have the State to do something else. So I called the State --the lady that takes care of everything, Ms. Kaiser, and she assured me that everything was fine on the title. They send hundreds of them out that way and all the license bureaus handle them so then I went back down there and they still wouldn't license it up thata way. Said I still had to change it over so I called the main license plate in Jeff City--the Department of Revenue--and they got on the phone and finally they talked to the people down here at the new office and they finally agreed to fix my license.

They don't know what they are doing. I don't know what the Governor or whoever does that gives the licenses or this company cause they don't and they are not doin' their job. They are very rude. They are very cranky. And they are just absolutely not business people. I don't know where they got their help if they got it from Butler County or if they brought it with them, but another time I went out there and I'm in a wheelchair and I got out there and there was so many people I couldn't even get my wheelchair in, so I waited another day and the same thing so I just came back and hired somebody to go back there and do it for me. But they will argue with you over the least little thing when you've done it before with no problem and they'll tell you, you can't do that any more come back at a later date.

So something's got to be done and they don't need 12 license bureaus around the state anyway.

I know that is a job that governors or somebody give out to the people who donates to 'em or somethin' like that, but this is ridiculous. Thank you.

Getting licenses takes many trips

Yes, I was calling to give my opinion about the article in the paper about the license bureau being crowded. It sure is. I went out there several times before and had to just turn around and leave over and over and over again. Takes sometimes multiple trips to go down there and get your tags and the parking lot --there is only room for a very small amount of cars. It is absolutely ridiculous. We've always had to wait quit a while even when the license bureau was back at Northtown Drugs years ago. You had to stand in line quite a while but never quite as crazy as what it is now. Seems like it's getting worse and I think one of the problems, and it's this way not just with this license bureau, doctors' offices. Look at Coppertop out there. The parking lot is not big enough with all the patients out there. When you try to park out there you Physicians' Park did not allow enough parking spaces. This town is growing by leaps and bounds and the parking situation in all of the areas in this town and various businesses and places like that have very inadequate parking and sometimes you have to make several trips just to get your job done because you can't even find a spot and I think part of it -- people don't even stop to think about it -- how much the town has grown. We've got parking lots that are from years ago (in the 70's and 80's) that were adequate. We have doubled if not tripled the population and it's still growing, so people need to realize that we got to have more parking and we need a bigger office too with all these people because we've got more people living here. It's just common sense.

Defending

employees

I would like to respond to the article about our Department of Revenue new license bureau here in Poplar Bluff. I was there three times this week! Tuesday, I went in and it was packed. I took a number and I needed two things: driver's license and license plates renewed. There must have been 75 people in there, but I was able to get my driver's license done within 20 minutes, renewing my driver's license and I decided not to wait for the other and I came back on Wednesday. Wednesday there was very few people in there actually but I had the wrong paperwork (laughter) so I had to come back on Thursday.

The girls had been very, very nice to me. I can't say enough about how nice they were. I saw them three times this week and each time they were courteous and it was a very nice place so I just want to say something in defense of the people that work there because I think I know as I was there three times in one week. Mostly because I didn't have my paperwork.

So, again, thank you.

Bye.
