Where was code enforcement?

We've got one of the finest police departments in southeast Missouri or anywhere else, but I'm sorry about roof being leaking like that. But the code enforcement goes around all over town making people take care of their houses and businesses. If something is wrong they make 'em fix it. Now this couldn't have happened in just one day. Probably been happening for years or so. So why didn't code enforcement go and see that it was fixed? Surely they've got a manager of building who goes through the whole thing--a maintenance man that goes through and makes sure it's perfect, but the thing about it is why is it so long since we got this new city manager all this stuff is happening for a new city hall. (Note: Message garbled.) Look at all the snow in front of stores not being cleaned up. Being an old man, I hired somebody to clean off my walks. So sometimes in a bad situation we have a lot of snow they oughta hire five or six guys to get up on top and shovel some of that snow off the building. I don't know if we need a new police department or not but we need to fix the one we got and maintain it every month. I maintain my house and I don't wait until the roof caves in to do it. a local doc

I would like to know how to get a physician in Poplar Bluff to take you as a new patient. When you call and ask for an appointment the first thing they ask, do you take pain medicine? If yes, they tell the physician does not write any pain prescriptions. They don't ask why you are taking pain medicine. I have fibromyalgia and back problems, but four physicians have already refused to take me as a patient.

The reason I am trying to get a new physician is because my primary physician is 65 miles one way here. I have not always lived in Poplar Bluff. I was just refused again today. This doctor has a patient who is an alcoholic, smokes cigarettes and marijuana every day and has no insurance. I don't smoke or drink any alcohol and I have insurance that pays 100 percent.

Please someone tell me where there is a doctor in Poplar Bluff that is not afraid of Obama. Thank you.

Clean Qulin's dirty streets

I can't be the only person who has a comment about the city streets in Qulin. Maybe the schools should be moved to Fisk. At least their streets are clean.
