The family of the 13 year old boy that was stranded on Pike Creek during the flood waters, after running his trap lines on his fourwheeler with his dogs, would like to say thank you to the Poplar Bluff Rescue Team for all of their help.

Shame on you

Council members Ed DeGaris and Betty Absheer should be ashamed of themselves for voting to accept the 2015 budget presented by City Manager Heath Kaplan. Kaplan increased his personal department budget, created a new grant writing department, increased legal expenses for the year and has a financial consultant who commands $135 and hour plus expenses. Meanwhile city employees get no wage increase and all other departments have significantly less to operate their departments for the upcoming year, including the police department.
