MALDEN, Mo.-- Larry Eugene Hufford, 65, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center. He was the son of Dessie Belle Ratlift Hill and the late Lloyd Hufford. He born Nov. 6, 1949, in Waxahachie, Texas. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
On Aug 8, 1988, in Springfield, Mo., he was united in marriage to Leata Worley. She survives. He was previously married to Lorriane Wedig Lamb. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Leata Hufford of the home; his mother, Dessie Belle Hill of Malden; two sons, Darren Hufford and wife, Cathy, of North Branch, Minn., Chad Hufford and wife, Tammy, of Crystal Lake, Ill.; one stepson, Jedediah Wilson of New York City, N.Y.; two stepdaughters, DeeDee McFall and husband, Jeffery, of Dexter, and Julie Speakman and husband, Paul, of Jackson; one brother, Deaune Hufford of Dexter; 16 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral with full military rites will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo. Burial will follow. Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden is in charge of arrangements.
