'Spare the rod and spoil child' still true

To the Editor:

I would respectfully like the opportunity to respond to an editorial by Mona Charen.

Mona claims to be a "conservative" but she is no less a "liberal" than many others who violate the very basis of our American Heritage . . . that America was founded upon a Judeo Christian foundation.

Her assertion that it is "never" OK to spank a child is so wrong that any person with an IQ above room temperature knows she is wrong!

When did God die and leave the likes of her and her dimwitted sojourners in charge of what is right and wrong? Just brief study of the Bible and anyone can see what God said about discipline.

The reason our Nation is in the mess it's in is because we have had 50 years or more of delinquents raising delinquents. God said "Spare the ROD (emphasis mine), spoil the child." I see a bunch of spoiled "children" all over and some of them are drawing social security.
