The nuts who

text and drive

To the person who talked about bad drivers in Thursday, Aug. 28th--c'mon, don't be hard on them that are texting while driving. How can they see a small car when they have to watch their phone? You know it would be hard for you to see if you were reading a newspaper much less a little, bitty cell phone text.

By the way, my car was totaled by one of them and I still have pain from it after five years. Thank you.

And if you can figure out a way to get rid the nuts that are driving and texting let me know or just plain get rid of them.

Can you read?

It's treason

Ask our representatives in the U. S. Senate and in Congress do they know how to read? If so, have they ever read the Constitution article, section three? The people who are studying to be terrorists are committing treason! I'm glad I was educated then in that part of the military. .

Don't be

such an idiot

This is for the "yahoo" who was talking about why the band people were wearing T-shirts and blue jeans were either (a) a complete idiot or (b) they were not there 'cause otherwise they would have known how absolutely horrendously hot it was and those kids would have passed out. So yeah for them for wearing their T-shirts for they were able to stay cool and continue to play the music without any incidents of students passing out and yet played all night long.

So, again, don't be such an idiot because they are not wearing the right uniform. For goodness sakes!

It was too hot

This is in regards to T-shirts and jeans wore by the SHO-ME Marching Band. I've got a granddaughter that's in the marching band at high school and she marched all the way from McDonald's all the way down through that area to 5th Street. Several of the kids passed out. Several got sick and she got sick and decided to quit the band, but she's got pride for it. So for this person that's calling in and complaining about 'em wearing T-shirts and jeans when they're up there playing or whatever that stuffs heavy to start with and it's 90 or 100 degrees. You have to have a little mercy for these kids. I've got pride for the Mules and all that stuff, too, but you gotta think of the kids now. Do you want to kill 'em? Let 'em dress the way they are and when we have a parade let 'em start at 5th Street and make a circle down around Main Street and come back to 5th and call it quits. Don't make them march all the way from McDonald's in real hot weather. In winter time it's different, but with all that garb on in 99 and 100 degree weather kids a lot of them just cain't take it, but they got pride in their school and they want to do right. So let' give 'em a break. If you want the colors wear a tee shirt that color and the pants that color, you know, but don't make 'em wear them suits when it's 95-100 degrees.

For this woman 35 years ago she said they had pride. They did. Still a lot of kids died. We have kids die on the football field and everything else in hot weather, so let's give our little kids a break when it ain't a big social let 'em dress they way they want. Thank you. God bless the Mules!

see your butt!

I second the article about the "baggy" pants. Why do they think we enjoy looking at their underwear or bare butts? Do they think anyone who looks like that would be hired for a job?
