Please stop dumping cats

Yeah, I was calling to complain about the people and to issue a statement that are dumping cats and kittens out in subdivisions because they think, oh, maybe somebody out there will adopt 'em. I take all the stray ones to the pound because I have so many that I feed already. Some in the house, some outside that are just foster cats that were still hungry and dumped out by somebody. We are overrun in these subdivisions. Some people that don't get their cats neutered and fixed which we get all of ours neutered and fixed. Make out payment plan to the vet. Takes us a long time and lots of money but we do it, but we can't take on any more.

There a quite a few neighborhoods where I talk to people and they've got the same issues as I do. We can't take any more cats. Take them to the animal shelter to let them try to get adopted. They have actually got a good clean environment down there now and the Humane Society is going to try to get a building built soon. They are having fund raisers and eventually we can take some of the cats off the street, get them adopted. Hopefully get a program started where you can get a reduced cost to get them spayed and neutered, but dumping them out because you are irresponsible enough to let them get pregnant in the first place is just a no win situation. It's really bad to dump out little kittens. They get beat up by the older cats. They get run over. It's pitiful how they have to live. Please stop dumping cats!

Cease fire or reloading?

I'm just seeing on TV now the Palestinians are now for a cease fire. What a joke! You know they've been fightin' for a 1000 years. They've all been fightin' for a 1000 years or twice that long. Who are they kidding? It's just a big joke.

All they are doin' a cease fire for --they've run out of rockets to fire at Israel. They're wantin' a cease fire so Israel will pull up the sanctions and stuff so they can bring in another 10,000 and start all over six months from now. That's all they're wantin' to do is to reload!

They're not foolin' me. They might be foolin' the government and Israel, but they're not foolin' this ole country boy. All they gonna do is restock as soon as them borders get opened. Thank you. God bless America, but surely we're not that stupid. Thank you.

Copper Thieves Targeting

Electric Poles

Fifteen years ago I was a electric lineman in Illinois. Every power pole has a copper ground wire from the transformer to a ground road to protect the homeowner from a lightning strike to the power lines.

If you don't have this protection then the lightning will travel from the transformer to the tri-plex wire to your house which will fry all the wiring in the walls, your TVs, refrigerators, washer and dryers and all electric appliances in your home.

Your home insurance will only pay about half of what you paid your appliance and you have to pay a deductible.

I went out to my power pole and noticed someone had pried the nail stapel [sic] that holds the copper wire to the pole had been pried loose and the copper wire had been cut from the pole about six foot up to the bottom of the pole and removed.

It was done to all the poles down my street and probably all over town. The county probably has the same problem or worse.

The City Electric Company is responsible for the theft because specs on nailing ground wire on all poles are every two inches from the ground to six foot up from ground to deter thieves from stealing the copper.

Every pole on my street the copper ground wire only has a staple nail ever nine inches. Our City Electric bill should not raises because of the City Electric Company's lineman not following specs.
