No such thing

as a free lunch

[mail] So Peter thinks he should be paid for being a councilman. I'm sure he could use the money because Peter robbed Paul to pay Peter and then robbed Paul many more times to pay Peter according to case.net (public information).

When businessmen, whether on council or even a pastor, intentionally hide behind their LLC'S, Inc., or whatever else they establish, they are robbing someone down the line. My grandpa taught me along time that there is no such thing as a free lunch, someone had to pay for it. You may be free of your debt but somewhere down the line, somebody is doing without something that they have worked for because of your bad business decisions.

Implementing the regulations

I was reading in today's paper about the Wood Stove Bill and the regulations about wood burning stoves. Well, if you want to implement something what about these farmers that get out there and burn thousands of acres. It goes through your windows, your cars no matter what you're doin'. And if it ain't enough they're out there burnin' the fields, what about these crop dusters that blow right over the highway? I have personally had to wash my car when that stuff it sprayed on my windshield because they don't follow the regulations. So let's start with them. Yeah, I understand we need farmers, but you gotta start some place and it might as well be with them. Thank you.

That's a big

joke, ain't it?

I was just readin' today's Speak Out--Keep Eyes on the City Council. I just remembered too these Smart Phones were invented the day our new city council took office. Our Internet was invented the day our new council people took office. The old county didn't have that technology so they couldn't break the Sunshine Law. But they did take and what they did do though they sat there and be talkin' about one subject and all at once one of them say, "I make a motion to go into closed session so we can discuss people that's working for us." Whether that was what they discussed or not, but they used it over and over and over. And I remember a few people complaining about it, but they'd go into closed session including the old DAR used to do that, but since we got new owners they don't care they don't want to find out from them. They get what they want and that's the way it goes. But the thing about it is in a nutshell I guess the Smart Phones and everything else were invented the day Mrs. Pearson and them took office. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! That's a big joke, ain't it? Thank you.

Buzzing a home is dangerous

Yes, I saw in today's paper that others have problems with the crop dusters and I think probably we are all in the same area. Two years ago I was dusted and I lost four trees. I look at my window and I still see 'em--big, old, tall dead trees. A few days ago I got dusted again. This little yellow plane flew really close to my home. It went over the area probably 6-8 times. I didn't find it necessary to do the job that was being done to get nearly as close to my home as possible. I think this person or persons has no regard for people or their residence. A professional pilot should be able to avoid a residence. It just seems that way to me. It's not necessary to buzz a home or come really close to it. It's dangerous. It's dangerous for the home and the residents. It's just a ridiculous situation and I know that I'm not the only one. I read it in your paper. I'm sure there lots of others out there. I see dead trees that have been killed by the crop dusters all over the place. I think it is way past time. Something needs to be done about this.

I appreciate this service.
