Pre-paid

fuel a joke

Yes, I would just like to say that I think this pre-paid fuel ordinance that went through the Poplar Bluff city council is a joke! The council to do their job and quit making it hard on everybody else. Thank you.

Signing

away rights

To the person who wants to see more road blocks. I hope you realize you are just one goose-step away from being stopped and asked for your papers. You may be detained because they observed a religious symbol branding you as Jewish or Catholic or even a bumper sticker like NRA or Tea Party. Constitutional rights have already been signed away so enjoy your stay in one of our many residential centers.

Step up, do

what is right

After studying the plans for the new 4th-6th Grade Center and the High School, I have to ask, where are the facilities for ancillary services such speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy for special needs students? Apparently, these vital services will again be an after thought just as the special needs students are in this district. All children are entitled to the best education that can be provided not just the "A" students. There's still time to plan for the special needs students and these vital services they require. I hope Poplar Bluff Schools will step up and do what is right while there is still time. If that too much to hope for? Based on past experience, I'm afraid so.

Thank you.

Pick up trash

If the American Legion Post 153 is supposed to be keeping Highway PP clear, they better get to pickin' up the trash. There's trash all over and on both sides of the highway. Thank you.

Wal-Mart

remodeling

No wonder people hate to go to Wal-Mart shopping just next they do it someone gets a wild hair and they remodel the dern place and it doesn't make the store any better.

Put alligators, piranhas in

Rio Grande

I've got a perfect solution for this immigration and them people crossing the border at the Rio Grande River. It may sound harsh and everything but we need to import about a million piranhas put in the Rio Grande River and then start taking and putting baby alligators and release 'em all up and down that river. I'm not talkin' about so they will eat people up. So it will deter 'em from crossing. If they know that river is full of piranhas and alligators they're not gonna get in that water. They're gonna have to come in some other way and it would make it a lot easier for us to control the border. So, U. S. Government and states that border the Rio Grande, take and start puttin' alligators in it and piranhas.

Let's really

fix our roads

You know for 25 or 30 years I've heard, well, let's fix our roads. Let's vote yes on this amendment. Let's vote yes on that amendment and we're gonna fix our roads. They get that money and they do others with it except fix the roads. Now it's Proposition 7 and we're gonna fix the road! But they never do! The same way they passed the lottery -it's gonna be for our schools. It's not for our schools. It's whatever these politicians want to do with it. I think it's time for us to up and say NO! Fix our roads with the money you've got! Crap or get off the pot! God bless America but I tell you what our legislature here in the State of Missouri absolutely sucks! They need to be thrown out and start new. And if they say they are Republicans or Democrats or Independents they ought even be voted for. They ought to vote strictly as the man or the woman whatever they stand for. Do away with the parties and just let a man or a woman stand on their own merit. Thank you. God bless America.

A rule not law?

You know it would have been really good if when they passed that law that you had to pay at Ryan's before you ate and you had to pay at McDonald's before you ate and at Burger King and Sonic before you ate. You know they could have saved themselves a lot of trouble if they had just included gasoline in with that law about paying before you receive the product. Oh, gee, there's no law that says before you get food? Huh? You suppose if the station owners had any guts they would just had that as a rule instead of throwing it over so they can say, It's the law! I didn't have nothing to do that! Sounds like a chicken shit way to do something and throw the blame over on someone else. Thanks very much.
