Expand

Medicaid

[website] If you could save a life of a stranger would you? If you could save the life of your neighbor, would you?

It is time we, the citizens, of Missouri come together to address a pressing issue affecting each of us. It is time for Missouri to expand Medicaid. Currently over 877,000 Missourians are living without health insurance. Many of these people are hard working Missourians trying to make ends meet.

Missouri currently has some of the most drastic qualification standards for Medicaid of all 50 states. A single mother of two in Missouri, making anymore than $3,504 a year can not currently qualify for healthcare through Medicaid.

So maybe now you are thinking that you are not in the previous predicament; thinking you will be untouched by this issue of expanding or not expanding Medicaid for our citizens. After all, you are not looking to qualify for Medicaid, and you can pay your health bills and insurance premiums, right? It is time for you to think again.

If Missouri does not choose to expand Medicaid, we could potentially be putting our great state's rural hospitals at risk with the threat of closing. Cutting the number of rural hospitals in about half. Leaving tens of thousands of our state's hardworking and even privately insured people without a local hospital. Giving the population fewer options, and causing further overcrowding in remaining hospitals.

Expanding Medicaid in Missouri is necessary. No citizen will go completely un-touched by the very real consequences of neglecting this opportunity. It is time to take a stand Missouri; it is time to save MO lives.

It's time you wake up

Isn't it strange how a political party hell bent on an agenda politics instead of working to serve the people who elected them? We need to start seeing the unintended consequences of their benign neglect to many programs that would help the masses. Is anyone paying real attention to the price of food? Right now we're seeing a gallon of milk at $4 a gallon and gasoline strangely is running in the $3-$3.50 a gallon range. We'll complain about gas, but we certainly won't complain about milk, right? I mean it's only nearly doubled since President Obama took office. The same with beef and other food stuffs across the market. So while you sleep, playing your X-box, and sit apathetically by the side while Democrats create chaos that people just want to go Aggghh! Well, it's time you wake up. You're being abused, America, in so many more ways than just the agenda politics brought on by the Affordable Care Act. You need to wake up and you need to wake up quickly. Our children will be suffering under this for years to come.

Promises,

promises

I am writing speak out to let the people know about what our new board members are wanting to do - When he was running for the board he made all these promises and told me that the old board members was wanting to build a new school and take our tax money - when in reality YOU Mr. Thrumon just wanted on the board for the basketball problem - I have lived in Fisk for over 35 years and I am appalled that you would do something like this - you said our town would die if the kids moved to Broseley - now you want to move lines. My grandkids have 36 in one classroom and you want to hire a coach not a teacher?? Where are your priorities Mr. Thrumon? Leave the sports like it is! and worry about teachers and education, you claim to be a educator - you have your own agenda - hey, FISK what happened to having 2 board members that are truly from Fisk? I want Mr. Lewis back at least he cared for our school. YOU'RE A JOKE MR. NEW BOARD MEMBER! FISK NEEDS TO TAKE A STAND - we need more room and more teachers we have lots of kids.
