Don't forget power of positive thinking

To the Editor

Yesterday I went to the "Lunch and Learn" program in town given by Dr. Kirby Turner. Was a very interesting talk on Healthy Senior Living. Although I think Dr. Turner missed one point!!! That is the power of positive thinking. I have lived with that through all of my life. I feel that if one lives with the thought that they cannot do something, they have lost, before they even get started.

Dr. Turner appeared to be very surprised that so many people came. Didn't have enough lunches fixed. Which was so delicious and a big lunch also, was my lunch and dinner both. Some may smile about that, I am not a big eater. My sons tease me and say if I ate more I would be able to do more. I say well who says I want to do more.

I shall have to read the paper better and go to the Lunch and Learn program more. This was my first one.
