Lions thank all who helped with auction

To the Editor:

This past Saturday we had our 21st Annual TV/Internet Auction. It was a great success! Thanks to the donations of our local merchants and professionals, our local Lion's Club was able to raise funds that will improve the sight and hearing of the underprivileged through 2014.

A special thanks to our corporate sponsors who gave so generously: Sterling Bank, Baldwin Automotive Group, Southern Bank, Hefner Furniture and Appliance, Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center and Bailey's CARSTAR.

A special thanks to your paper, the DAR, to City Cable ( Gary, Dave and the boys) which each year does so much for our Club and our cause and to R-1 School District for the use of the room at the administration offices.

Once again, the people of Poplar Bluff showed that they care about programs for sight and hearing and for those who are less fortunate. We Lions give a heartfelt thanks to all who helped.
